My Story

My story as an educator and passionate linguist has taken me around the world both physically and digitally. I've crossed langauges and cultures to understand the desire of students to learn English, and I want to make this passion realized.

Childhood

Growing up in a a small town in rural America, I've learned what it feels like to not have access to something important. The values I learned from my family have helped me become who I am today.

Inspiration

I started learning Spanish in Highschool, but it wasn't until the pandemic in 2020 when I started to focus heavility on learning the language.

Through Spanish, I met people from all around the world who wanted to learn English. This is what motivated me to become an English teacher.

Traveling

In 2022, I got the opportunity to travel to Italy for a 1-week excusion. The experience allowed me to practice the Italian I had been learning, and further motivated me to pursue a degree in linguistics and Education.

Teaching

In Sesptember of 2024, after recieving my TEFL Certification from The TEFL Academy, I finally started teaching English on Preply. The experience I've gained has taught me how to create strong lesson plans, how to customize lessons for students, and how to present lessons through a digital medium.

Goals

My goal for this website is to create a platform for students to take English lessons from anywhere in the world, and to be able to reach out to more students.

In the future, I'd like to offer lesson plans for other instructors, provide resources for students, and communicate directly with students.
